WALK-IN URGENT CARE PATIENTS SERVICES AND TELE-MEDICINE VISITS WELCOMED
TELEMEDICINE DURING COVID-19
During this hectic time, St. Elizabeth Urgent Care is dedicated to keeping our staff and patients healthy. COVID-19, the coronavirus, proves to be an on-going challenge for medical facilities.
At St. Elizabeth Urgent Care, our primary mechanism to disrupt the transmission of the coronavirus is through the utilization of Telemedicine. Telemedicine is defined as, “the remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology”. Telemedicine eliminates person to person transmission of any virus and is an effective option for the treatment of many common illnesses. The telemedicine “virtual visit” is covered by your personal, commercial insurance. HIPAA regulations are followed and ensure that all protected health information is managed appropriately. If medications are indicated, they will be electronically sent to the pharmacy of choice. A virtual office visit allows St. Elizabeth Urgent Care to evaluate health concerns remotely to reduce exposure to unwanted viruses or illnesses.
Should the need arise, simply call our office to schedule a virtual visit. Additional details regarding the virtual visit will be emailed once the appointment has been scheduled.
