URGENT CARE TELEMEDICINE VISITS
FOR HOUSTON & DICKINSON, TX
At St. Elizabeth Urgent Care, we are dedicated to keeping our patients healthy in the Dickinson and Houston, TX areas. As communication via technology is advancing, options for health care services are expanding. That is why our family urgent care clinic is proud to offer telemedicine and virtual visits to provide quality health care services for our patients. Telemedicine is defined as, “the remote diagnosis and treatment of patients by means of telecommunications technology”. These services consist of two-way communication between our patients and our medical team via audio and/or video technology.
When you are feeling ill or have questions about your health, you can call our office to schedule urgent care telemedicine visits. Through our telemedicine services and urgent care virtual doctor visits, you can receive medical advice without leaving the comfort of your home. These services are an effective option for the treatment of many common illnesses while eliminating person to person transmission of any illness/virus you may have. However, if you are beginning to feel ill or believe you may have contracted the coronavirus, please contact either our Houston or Dickinson, TX office. We are now scheduling on-site COVID-19 testing!
Urgent Care Virtual Doctor Visits
Some of the illnesses that may be managed through an urgent care virtual doctor visit include:
- Urinary Tract Infection
- Yeast Infection
- Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
- Muscle Pain/Strain
- Migraine Headaches
- Stomach Bug
However, not all illnesses or injuries can be managed through urgent care telemedicine. If you are experiencing emergency situations including heart attacks or strokes, cuts, broken bones, or other injuries that require immediate, hands-on care, telemedicine/virtual visits should not be used, rather a regular, in-person visit should be completed.
Urgent care telemedicine visits are covered by your personal or commercial insurance. Our virtual doctors follow HIPAA regulations to ensure your health information is protected and managed appropriately. If medications are prescribed, they will be electronically sent to your pharmacy in the Dickinson or Houston, TX areas. If you need to set up an urgent care virtual doctor visit, please contact our office today.
